Free beer at Sochi…but only if you're Canadian
Après-ski is a celebrated part of the winter sports lifestyle.
And this appears to be the case even while competing in the Olympics, the Daily Mail reported.
The Canadians seem to be so confident in their abilities at the Sochi Games, they have reportedly installed a beer fridge in their accommodation in the Russian city.
The vending machine, made by beer firm Molson Canadian, offers free drinks to competitors but only once they have scanned their passports to verify their authenticity, it was reported by time.com.
A webcam takes a photo of the passport to ensure it is genuine.
As of this morning, the Canadians certainly had reason to celebrate.
They were top of the medal table ahead of Norway and the Netherlands with four golds, three silvers and two bronzes.
