13-year-old cancer patient creating Youtube makeup tutorials dies

Talia Joy Castellano is an exceptional 13-year-old girl, with articulateness, wit and serious makeup skills beyond her years. She was also suffering from not one but two forms of malignant cancer.

But against those odds, Talia was one of the most bubbly, bright and exuberant teens we've ever seen, and she channeled all this positivity into an awesome series of YouTube makeup tutorials.

She also got real about her cancer on her YouTube channel, both the neuroblastoma she's been suffering from since 2007 and the preleukemia that sprung up in her bone marrow.

Multiple bouts of chemotherapy had left her bald for years, but the rising seventh-grader embraced makeup as her own kind of wig, a way to feel confident and take control over her appearance in a fun, creative way.

Unfortunately, Talia Joy Castellano died after a six-year battle with cancer.
