US radio broadcaster defames Koreans in TV program

A lawyer who appears on a radio program giving legal advice in Los Angeles, allegedly defamed Koreans on a live TV program on Aug. 27, enraging them.

“I have a problem with my house owner who is Korean,” one listener of KFI said, seeking consultation.

Then radio host Bill Handel replied, “If you give Korean people dog meat, they may be happy, but Korean people do not like Filipinos.”

“Korean landlords do not consider the position of tenants,” he said.

Brad Lee, who is chairman of Korean Community Lawyer Association, called on the radio host to apologize for the defamation in a letter he sent immediately.
