100 Londoners get on subway without trousers

Around 100 Londoners have participated in annual event ‘No Trousers Tube Ride’ from Charing Cross station to Paddington, even though it has been freezing weather, the Daily Mail reported on Monday.

The people who enjoy thrill gathered in Trafalgar Square before they headed to Charing Cross subway station. They took off their pants in the station and got on the subway.

On the subway, they pretended they did not know each other while they read newspapers or magazines as usual. They said they had forgotten to wear trousers and insisted coincidence of same looks whenever other passengers asked about their unique appearances.

“We just wanted to provide a bizarre spectacle and something to laugh at,” an organizer said.

Meanwhile, it is becoming popular as this year’s participants of the event increased three times that of last year

차링 크로스 역으로 향하기 전, 스릴을 즐기는 100여명이 트라팔가 광장에 집결했다. 이들은 역에서 바지를 벗고, 지하철에 탑승 했다.

지하철 안에서 이들은 평소와 다름 없이 신문이나 잡지를 읽으며, 서로 모르는 사이 인 척 했다. 다른 승객들이 그들의 특이한 옷차림에 대해 물을 때마다 그들은 바지를 입는 것을 잊어버렸다며, 우연의 일치라고 강조했다.

행사 주최 측은 “우린 구경 거리와 웃음거리를 제공하고 싶었다,”라고 전했다.

한편, 올해 참가자는 작년 에 비해 3배 이상 증가 한 것으로 보아, 행사의 인기를 실감케 했다.
