British man arrested for installing Taser gun

A British man was arrested after he installed a Taser gun at his home to prevent other men from having affairs with his wife while he was out of the house, a news report said Wednesday.

The taser is an electroshock weapon that uses electrical current to disrupt voluntary muscle control.

The 51-year-old installed the device in the door, but he was arrested after neighbors detected it and reported it to police.

According to a police officer, the man was obsessed by the delusion that while he was out of the house, other men were approaching his wife in an attempt to have an affair with her.

In Britain, tasers were introduced in 2008. Without permission from the authorities, ordinary people are banned from using it.

51세의 이 남성은 대문에 이를 설치해 뒀지만, 미리 알아챈 이웃이 신고하면서 경찰에 체포됐다는 것.

경찰에 따르면 이 남자는 자신이 집을 비우면 이웃집 남자들이 아내를 욕심 내 접근할 것이라는 망상에 휩싸여 있는 상태였다고.

영국에서 테이저 건은 2008년에 도입됐다. 일반인은 당국의 허가 없이 이 총의 사용이 금지되어 있다.
