Monster chupacabra’s mutation?

Public attention has focused on what monster the chupacabra actually is.

The chupacabra, also known as the goatsucker, is a mythical beast that has been a fixture in Hispanic folklore for years and to this day is blamed for the deaths of livestock in many parts of Latin America and the U.S.

The research about the monster has been revealed in depth in a local TV program, Surprise, recently.

Sheep’s dead bodies were discovered in Puerto Rico in 1994, but there were no drops of blood or other body fluids found in the bodies, driving all the island into horror and shock.

Fortunately, there were villagers who claimed to spot the monster-like creatures which were presumed to have killed the livestock. According to the witnesses, the creature is similar with the monster, Katun, depicted by ancient Mayans.

People named it the chupacabra but experts claimed that it is not a wild beast but an unidentified living thing as it never leaves puncture wounds and inflammation on the neck when the creature bites the livestock.

At that time, a Chilean biologist concluded that it is neither a human being nor a beast from the outcome of a blood test. However, while the U.S. has kept mum about such occurrences, Chilean scientists claimed later in their continuous research that it was a mutation in the process of cloning by the U.S. military.

However, the U.S. military has never commented on the Chilean scientists’ claim. Some experts claimed that it might be an alien as UFOs were claimed to have been spotted several times in the region where the chupacabras turned up.

괴생물체 츄파카브라의 정체에 관심이 쏠리고 있다.

고웃서커로도 알려진 추파카브라는 히스패닉계 민속에 오랫동안 고정적으로 나왔으며 오늘날까지도 중남미와 미국 여러 곳에서 가축을 죽인 장본인으로 되어 있는 신화속의 짐승이다.

17일 오전 방송된 MBC '서프라이즈'에서는 괴생물체 츄파카브라를 집중 탐구했다.

1994년 푸에르토리코 섬에서는 가축들이 잇따라 죽은 채로 발견됐는데 가축의 사체 안에 혈액과 체액이 단 한방울도 발견되지 않아 섬 전체를 충격과 공포로 몰아넣었다.

이어 가축들을 죽인 괴생물체를 목격한 사람들이 나타났고 이들의 증언에 의하면 괴생물체는 고대 마야인들이 묘사한 '캐툰'이란 괴물과 유사한 모습을 하고 있었다.

사람들은 괴생물체에 츄파카브라란 이름을 지었고 전문가들은 이 츄파카브라가 가축을 죽일 때 목에 물어 뜯긴 자국을 남기지 않고 상처로 인한 염증도 발생하지 않아 맹수가 아닌 정체불명의 생명체란 주장을 제기했다.

당시 한 칠레학자가 츄파카프라의 혈액을 검사했고 그 결과 츄파카브라가 인간도 짐승도 아니라는 결론이 나왔다. 하지만 미국은 이 같은 결과에 함구령을 내렸고, 칠레학자는 츄카파브라에 대한 연구를 계속하던 중 츄파카브라가 미군의 복제 실험에 의한 돌연변이라고 주장을 하게 된다.

하지만 미군은 칠레 학자의 주장에 대해 특별한 언급을 하지 않고 있으며 츄파카브라가 자주 출몰하는 지역이 UFO가 여러번 목격 된 곳이라 외계생명체가 아니냐는 주장도 제기되고 있다.
