Ex-Duke student’s sex life goes viral

Former Duke University student, Karen Owen's “senior honor thesis” goes viral, bringing embarrassment and a host of new questions about Internet privacy, according to news reports.

Owen’s "senior honors thesis" is not really a thesis but is a joke in which she rates 13 guys that she had sex with at Duke. She created a 42-page Power Point presentation. Owen includes photos of them, locations where they met, quotes, and how much alcohol was consumed.

It’s already receiving buzz around Duke’s campus over the past week and even was a segment on NBC’s Today Show. Duke is in an uproar about the highly detailed sex list that the recent female graduate made.

She now has remorse for her “thesis” and apologizes to everyone. She said, “I regret it with all my heart. I would never intentionally hurt the people that are mentioned.”

오웬은 성관계를 가진 곳은 자동차에서부터 대학 도서관, 심지어 잔뜩 술에 취한 채 기숙사에서 섹스를 했다고 털어놨다.

최고점을 받은 남학생은 여학생들 사이에 일약 최고의 '짐승남'으로 떴다. 오웬이 얼마나 황홀했으면 그에게 만점에 가까운 점수를 주었겠느냐며 한번 만나자는 전화가 쇄도했다.

당초 오웬은 '섹스 보고서'를 농담으로 만들어 친구 3명에게만 이메일로 보냈는데 누군가가 이를 대학 웹사이트에 올리는 바람에 삽시간에 유튜브를 타고 전세계에 번졌다. NBC의 “투데이 쇼”에서도 거론되기도 했다.

그녀는 지금 자신의 “논문”에 대해 후회하며 모든 사람들에게 사죄했다. 그녀는 “진심으로 후회한다”며 “언급된 사람들에 의도적으로 상처를 주려고 한 것은 아니다”고 말했다.
