Corpse on Plane

Two women have been arrested at a British airport after they allegedly tried to smuggle their dead relative onboard in a wheelchair.

U.K. media reported on Wednesday that a 66-year-old woman and her 41-year-old step-daughter allegedly stuck a pair of sunglasses on the corpse of her 91-year-old husband Curt before trying to get him on a flight to Berlin.

They were detained at Liverpool's John Lennon airport "on suspicion of failing to give notification of death," according to media reports.

The step-daughter told BBC News they didn't know he was dead.

They were released on bail, police said. They had not been charged and police said inquiries were continuing.

And the cause of death is unknown.
