Sarkozy-Bruni Brawl

France was swirling with rumors Tuesday about the relationship of Nicolas Sarkozy and his wife, Carla Bruni, Telegraph reported.

Speculation that she had a close relationship with a musician first appeared on Twitter, the social networking site, and was relayed to other Web sites, including that of Le Journal du Dimanche, the respected newspaper. Several "tweets" suggested that Mrs. Bruni-Sarkozy had become closely involved with an award-winning singer, Benjamin Biolay.

It was reported that the pair had been close friends for many years ― Biolay contributed to her album in 2008 ― and that Mrs. Bruni-Sarkozy stayed with him at his flat in Paris.

It was also suggested that President Sarkozy had sought "comfort" from his ecology minister, Chantal Jouanno, 40, who is married and a karate champion.

A spokesman for Mrs. Jouanno said she was "scandalized by this rumor" and was prepared to pursue legally any "slanderous comments."

사르코지 대통령도 한 여성 장관에게서 위안을 얻은 것으로 전해진다. 문제의 여성 장관 찬탈 주아노는 가라데 챔피언 출신으로 이미 결혼을 했다.

주아노 장관의 대변인은 그녀가 이 루머에 대해 매우 언짢아 하고 있다면서 비방하는 글에 대해서는 법적 조치를 취하겠다고 밝혔다.
