South Korean skeleton slider Yun Sung-bin finished his 2015-2016 season on Saturday ranked No. 2 in the world.

Yun captured silver at the eighth and final International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation (IBSF) World Cup of the season in Konigssee, Germany, with the time of 1 minute, 41.38 seconds after two runs.

It was Yun's sixth World Cup medal of the season.

World No. 1 Martins Dukurs of Latvia captured his seventh World Cup title this season in 1:40.82. Dukurs' only World Cup loss of the season came against Yun in St. Moritz, Switzerland, earlier this month.

Martins' brother, Tomass Dukurs, finished third in Konigssee with 1:41.56.

In the IBSF world rankings, Martins Dukurs ended the season with 1800 points, followed by Yun at 1657 points and Tomass Dukurs at 1548 points.

In the World Cup standings, Martins Dukurs finished with 1785 points with seven gold and one silver medals, while Yun earned 1575 points thanks to one gold, three silver and two bronze medals.

Yun, 21, is considered South Korea's best medal hope when the country hosts its first Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, Gangwon Province, in two years. He captured a historic silver medal at the IBSF world championships last week in Austria. He is the first Asian to win a medal at the skeleton world championships, which were inaugurated in 1982.
