S. Korea wins bronze in ski orienteering at Asiad

South Korean skier Kim Ja-youn earned a bronze medal in women's long-distance ski orienteering at the Asian Winter Games in Kazakhstan Thursday.

At the Biathlon and Cross Country Ski Complex in Almaty, Kim finished the cross-country skiing race in 1 hour, 12 minutes, 56 seconds.

The gold and silver medals went to Kazakhstan's Novikova Olga and Kuzmina Yevgeniya.

South Korea remained in second place in the gold medal standings behind host Kazakhstan. South Korea has 10 golds, six silvers and eight bronzes. Japan and China are in third and fourth places in the standings, respectively. (Yonhap)
