Lee scores, Park sets up goal in wins

Two Korean English Premier League stars Lee Chung-yong and Park Ji-sung played important parts in their teams’ victories on Saturday.
Bolton Wanderers midfielder Lee scored his second goal of the season in a 5-1 win against Newcastle United and Manchester United midfielder Park, nicknamed “Oxygen Tank,” had an assist, setting up teammate Patrice Evra’s header in a 2-0 win against Wigan Athletic.
With Bolton leading 1-0, Matthew Taylor’s free kick hit the crossbar. Newcastle tried to clear the ball but Johan Elmander won it back and found Lee in an advanced position.
The Korean’s shot took a slight deflection but it didn’t change the ball’s path, finding the net to double his side’s advantage.
Lee has two goals and five assists this season, leading Bolton to fourth in the standings with 22 points, the same as Manchester City, which plays at Fulham on Monday (KST).
British sport media outlet Sky Sports gave Lee a rating of eight out of 10 saying “(Chung-yong) scored, constant threat.”
