Vancouver Olympic gold medalist and figure skating icon Kim Yu-na is scheduled to leave for Toronto today to prepare a new program for the World Championships.

Kim, who recently wrapped up an ice show with figure skating stars including Michelle Kwan, will create a fresh program with choreographer David Wilson and coach Brian Orser.

The Korean figure skating star has said that she will not appear this season in the Grand Prix, which starts in October, and compete only in the World Championships, slated for March in Tokyo.

According to All That Sports, Kim’s agent, the ice show ended last week after three successful days of performance. Tickets for one show were sold out and the others were 90 percent booked.

The agency also said it would organize an ice show featuring Kim twice a year.
