Korea Defeats Japan 3-1

South Korea rallied to defeat Japan 3-1 in its final match of the East Asian Football Championship Sunday in Tokyo.
The Huh Jung-moo's side allowed a goal to Yasuhito Endo on a penalty kick in the 21st minute, but it was offset as Kim Bo-kyung was awarded a penalty after being taken down in the box and Lee Dong-gook converted it in 10 minutes.
Lee Seung-yeoul scored a go-ahead goal seven minutes before halftime and Kim Jae-sung found the net of Japan midway through the second to seal the match.
The Korean team, which compiled a record of 2-0-1, finished second behind China.
The Gao Hongbo's men, who routed Korea 3-0 Wednesday, lifted their second trophy of the biennial tournament after notching two wins and one draw.
The home side Japan came in third, while Hong Kong finished dead last.
Korea will meet Cote d'Ivoire in London on March 3.
