Shin Yong-rok Signs With Tom Tomsk

Shin Yong-rok will join fellow Korean international Kim Nam-il in Russia as the midfielder signed a two-year contract with Siberian club Tom Tomsk, the team announced on its Web site Saturday (KST).

Shin, who left Turkish side Bursaspor last year, follows Kim who signed for the club last month.

The 22-year-old will play for Valeri Nepomniachi, who managed Bucheon Yukong ― a predecessor of Jeju United ― for five years from 1994 and is expected to earn $900,000 a year.

Shin and Tom Tomsk had come to a verbal agreement a year ago on a deal worth $400,000 but when the club fell into financial difficulties, it decided it was unable to sign him.

Instead, Shin signed with Bursaspor but left the club in October and declared himself a free agent after not receiving his signing bonus.
