Lee Chung-yong scored his second goal of the season to help Bolton Wanderers to a 3-2 victory over Everton Sunday.
The South Korean midfielder's left kick found the right side of the net in the 15th minute.
Sam Ricketts sent a cross into the center of the 18-yard box from the right side, which Lee dashed in to pick up and fire past Everton goalkeeper Tom Howard, who was moving in the wrong direction.
Gary Cahill added to the Wanderers lead with a header to make it 2-0.
Everton did fight back to tie it on goals from Louis Saha in the 32nd and Marouane Fellaini in the 80th and it appeared that Bolton would be deprived of its first win at home again. But on-loan striker Ivan Klasnic would score the winner for Bolton, moving them into a tie for 12th on 11 points.
"We finally grabbed the first win at home," Lee said. "Our fans have been disappointed, but they sent enthusiastic cheers. I really appreciated it."
Lee played on the left side on Sunday, instead of his usual place on the right.
"Two days ago, (Matthew) Taylor and I switched positions and tried it out in practice."
Bolton will now face Chelsea in its next two games, one in the Premier League and one in the Carling Cup.
"It is a strong team and the game will be very tough. But if players unite like today, we are pretty competitive with any other team.
"When we win against strong teams, it produces a good effect on the team. I will concentrate to help us win," added Lee.
Since joining Bolton in the summer, Lee has two goals and two assists overall in league and Carling Cup play.
