Forward Lee Chun-soo appears to be on the verge of leaving Chunnam Dragons to join a Saudi Arabian club.
``Lee Chun-soo wants to move to Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr. We cannot help but let him leave because Lee really wants to go,'' a Dragons official said.
``There are some problems in the contract which we still need to discuss with Lee. So it is not decided yet when Lee will move.''
Dragons will ask Lee and his agent IFA Sports to pay a penalty fee of 350 million won ($272,000) for breaking the contract. Dragons signed a one-year loan deal with Dutch club Feyenoord for him in February.
Chunnam manager Park Hang-seo is reportedly unhappy that he wants to leave.
Al-Nassr is said to have suggested that Lee should earn more than 1 billion won ($778,000) per year, to which Feyenoord and Lee have agreed.
Al-Nassr, which means victory in Arabic, is one of the premier football clubs in Saudi Arabia, and based in the Saudi capital of Riyadh. Some of Saudi Arabia's brightest stars, such as Majed Abdullah, Fahd Al-Herafy and Mohaisn Al-Jam'aan have played for the club.
