Lee Seung-yeop Blasts 11th Homer
Lee Seung-yeop of the Yomiuri Giants smacked his 11th home run of the season, Sunday.
The 32-year-old hit a solo shot off lefty Tsuyoshi Kikuchihara of the Orix Buffaloes in the eighth inning of an inter-league game at home, but the league-best Giants fell 8-6.
Lee, who had back-to-back homers against the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles Friday, has lofted four balls over the wall in five inter-league matches and seven in May.
The left-handed slugger, who is tied for second with Kazuhiro Wada of the Chunichi Dragons and Giants teammate Michihiro Ogasawara in long balls, is one behind Tony Blanco of the Dragons.
Lee added a single in the sixth to raise his batting average to .302.
Meanwhile, Lee Hye-chun of the Yakult Swallows allowed two runs on two hits and four walks over two innings against the Fukuoka Softbank Hawks in Tokyo.
