Gangwon FC Win in K-League Debut

Gangwon FC recorded its first win beating Jeju United 1-0 at its home ground in Gangneung, Sunday.
Forward Yoon Joon-ha netted his and the club's first goal with a right-footed shot in the 28th minute. Forward Kim Young-hoo recorded his first K-League assist, passing to Yoon from the left side of the penalty area.
``The center of Korean football is moving to Gangwon Province," Gangwon manager Choi Soon-ho said after winning the match. ``I'm glad that we got a victory for our fans."
About 21,300 fans gathered in the Gangneung Stadium to support the first football club based in the province.
Four other games were also held nationwide on the same day.
Incheon United defeated Busan I'Park 1-0 in Incheon with rookie Yoo Byung-soo heading his debut goal in the 20th minute to give new manager Ilija Petkovic from Serbia his first K-League victory.
Gwangju Sangmu crushed the Daejeon Citizen 3-0 in Gwangju. Choi Sung-gook scored two goals while Kim Myung-joong got one goal and an assist.
Seongnam Chunma drew 1-1 with Daegu FC in Daegu. Daegu midfielder Cho Hyung-ik netted from Lee Seul-ki's cross in the 22nd, but Chunma's Han Dong-won equalized on a counterattack in injury time of the first half.
Jeonbuk Motors also drew 1-1 with the Gyeongnam FC in Changwon.
