Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is set to offer Korean midfielder Park Ji-sung a new contract, according to the BBC.
"It is not on the radar screen but he will be offered a contract," Ferguson was reported as saying. "Ji has been fantastic for us and is one of our most consistent players."
Park's contract expires in the summer of 2010, but Man Utd usually make new contract offers one year before the end of existing deals. If the club sticks with tradition, Park may sign a new contract with the club in the summer.
Park joined the European champions from PSV Eindhoven in the summer of 2005, when he was earning $2.8 million (3.8 billion won) annually, and increased his earnings to $4 million (5.3 billion won) in 2006.
Park, who made his debut in a European tie against Debreceni, has scored nine goals in 101 appearances.
Ferguson also told BBC that he wants to re-sign veteran defender Gary Neville.
