Jang Ranks Second by Three at Michelob

Jang Jeong remained among the leaders at the Michelob Ultra Open.
The South Korean golf standout shot a 2-under-par 69 in the third round on Saturday at the Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Va., putting her in second place, three strokes behind Annika Sorenstam of Sweden, who also shot a 69.
``I played with Annika today,'' Jang said on the LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association)'s Web site. ``She hit a great driver and shots. She had great, great putters. So I'll just try really hard tomorrow and see what happens, but she has a big day. I want to do the best I can do.''
Jang, who entered the tournament ranked eighth in the world, has a total score of 11-under 202 after three rounds, while Sorenstam, ranked No. 2, has a 199. Both golfers have shot under par in every round of the tournament and have topped the leaderboard the past two days.
Jang, who has been plagued by a sore wrist, bogeyed the first hole of the third round, before shooting three birdies to remain in contention.
She'll play the final round on Sunday in search of her first LPGA Tour victory since winning the Wegmans tournament in June 2006. She has two top-three finishes on the tour this year, placing second at the Fields Open in February and third at the SemGroup Championship last week.
However, with just one round left at the Michelob Ultra Open, Jang acknowledges that it will be difficult to steal the lead from Sorenstam, who is trying for her third tournament win in 2008.
``Honestly, I'm going to try tomorrow the best I can, but I don't think she's going to be back,'' Jang said.
``She's not going to back down.''
The final threesome on Sunday will also include Christina Kim, a Korean American who shot a 66 in the third round to pull within four shots of the lead.
