Lee's election victory photo makes TIME's top 100 of 2025

A photo of President Lee Jae Myung taken on the day of his presidential election win was named as one of Time magazine's top 100 photos for this year, according to the U.S. weekly's website Monday.
The photo captured Lee, then the Democratic Party of Korea's presidential candidate, preparing to address his supporters as he awaited the final results of the election near the National Assembly on June 4.
During his speech, Lee vowed to overcome the "insurrection" triggered by former President Yoon Suk Yeol and to revive the sluggish economy.
Also included on the list was a photo of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un standing alongside Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping at a military parade in China marking the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II.
It marked the first joint appearance of the three countries' leaders in 66 years and Kim's debut on the multilateral diplomatic stage.
