Lawmakers' protest

Lawmakers of the minor opposition Justice Party hold banners to protest what they claim is the government’s mishandling of a protestor’s death as President Park Geun-hye gives a speech at the National Assembly, Monday. The lawmakers called for the launch of an independent counsel to investigate the death of the late farmer Baek Nam-ki. Baek died last month following 10 months in a coma after being knocked over by a police water cannon during a protest, and his bereaved family is now in conflict with the police that seek an autopsy to determine the cause of death. / Yonhap
