Woman dies after being hit by train

A woman in her 70s has died, Thursday afternoon, after being hit by an ITX train near Daejeon, south of Seoul.
"An ITX Saemaeul train hit the woman who had been sitting on a railroad track at around 4:35 p.m, leaving train operations suspened for over an hour," a railway official said.
The accident happened at the track between Daejeon Station and Secheon Station, some 170 kilometer south of Seoul. The train was en route to Seoul Station after departing from Busan Station.
The railway operator, Korea Railroad Corp. (Korail), said it resumed service after dealing with the aftermath of the accident.
Police are investigating what caused the accident.
