Necklace tells when you overeat

Scientists have developed a necklace that sends an alert every time you overeat.
Developed at the University of California, WearSens goes around the neck and has a sensor that monitors vibrations in the throat. The “diet choker” is also connected to a smartphone app that gives an alert when you go over the daily calorie limit.
The researchers have tested the device on 30 people, and say that it works.
A demonstration posted on Youtube asks for the user’s age, height, weight and their weight goal.
“Many nutrition methods are based on writing down what you eat,” WearSens co-founder Majid Sarrafzadeh told the Daily Mail. “But that method has low compliance, so we wanted to overcome these issues and do something like what a pedometer does for activity.”
