Plane skids off runway at La Guardia

Passengers had a lucky escape when a Delta Air Lines jetliner slid off the runway while landing at New York’s LaGuardia Airport during a snowstorm on Thursday.

Of the 127 passengers on board, some took to Instagram and Twitter to post pictures and videos of their ordeal.

"I just survived this," an Instagram user named Vanessa posted.

"Thank you New York for such bad weather."

Police said there were only minor injuries.

The city's fire department said it had initially received reports of 24 people with life-threatening injuries.
