Google Korea once again topped the list of foreign companies Koreans would most like to join.

In a survey by job portal Saramin of 1,424 university students and job seekers, 43 percent selected Google Korea as their top workplace of choice.

Google Korea has topped the list for seven years since 2008.

Hygiene product maker Yuhan-Kimberly was second with 16.2 percent, its second consecutive year at number two. Office supply giant 3M Korea came third with 15.8 percent, up two places from a year earlier.

After these were BMW Korea (8.2 percent), Apple Korea (7.5 percent), P&G Korea, (7.1 percent), Rhodia Korea (5.6 percent), GE Korea (5.4 percent), Microsoft Korea (4.5 percent) and Homeplus (4.4 percent).

Korean job-seekers found employee benefits the most attractive feature of foreign companies (38.6 percent). Following this were Western corporate culture (22.4 percent, better pay (11.9 percent), opportunities to work overseas (11.9 percent) and corporate brand value (10.7 percent).

To get into these companies, job-seekers regarded languages skills as most important (59.6 percent). Following this were work experience (25.1 percent), academic background (5.2 percent), experience of volunteer work (3.9 percent) and experience living abroad (3.5 percent).
