Military-academic cooperation

Goo Kee-heon, right, president of Sangmyung University, poses with Kim Gab-su, commander of the 8th Mechanized Infantry Division, after signing a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to beef up cooperation in different areas including research and experience programs, at the division headquarters in Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province, Monday. The unit and the university will conduct military science research and will establish contractual majors that would give soldiers degrees under a mutual agreement.
