Best honeymoon spots for newlyweds

Travel agency Hanatour analyzed a sample of 32,700 travel packages newlyweds selected last year to predict the honeymoon trend for 2015.
While more couples are favoring long-distance travel spots, traditional favorites such as Thailand’s Phuket, Hawaii, and Western Europe will still be popular this year.
Last year 18.8 percent of newlyweds chose, Phuket. Short distance, great accommodation and, good restaurants are the main attractions for honeymooners.
Meanwhile, half the top 10 honeymoon spots are long-distance destinations. Hanatour predicted this trend to continue.
Phuket, Hawaii, Western Europe, Philippines, Guam, Bali, KoSamui (Thailand), Maldives, Australia, and South America are the top 10 honeymoon spots in descending order of popularity.
Some spots like Danang, Vietnam, gained in popularity last year. Other places such as Okinawa, Eastern Europe, New Zealand, Fiji, Tahiti, and Mediterranean also grew in popularity.
Hanatour predicted the following spots to grow in popularity for honeymoon destinations:
Bohol Island, Philippines, is gaining attention with its unique landscape and ecological environment.
Lombok, Indonesia, which the BBC ranks as one of the world’s most beautiful islands.
Los Cabos, Mexico, is world-famous vacation spot at the southern tip of Baja California.
