Singer Suzy loses lawsuit over 'Suzy Hat'

Singer and actress Suzy, 22, from girl group “Miss A” has lost a lawsuit claiming an online fashion store named its products “Suzy Hat” and used her pictures without permission.
Seoul Central District Court dismissed the JYP Entertainment star’s claim that the store violated her rights by using her face and name for business purposes.
According to the lawsuit, the store showed the hats in online search results after Suzy Hat was typed in as the keyword. The store showed the star’s photos along with the hats on its webpage.
A JYP insider said the ruling was a disappointment and that the company might take further legal steps, an online newspaper said Sunday.
