The Eiffel Tower in Paris is the most popular place in the world for people to take “selfies,” according to a survey.
UK-based tourist attraction website AttractionFix looked at social media Instagram to find references to travel hotspots alongside the word selfie, which is short for self-portrait.
On the list of 40 popular places, the Eiffel Tower was referenced the most with 10,700 posts, followed by Disney World in Orlando, Florida and the Burj Khalifa in Dubai with 9,870 and 8,860 posts, respectively.
London’s Big Ben finished fourth with 8,780 posts, ahead of the Empire State Building in New York, Sagrada Familia cathedral in Madrid and Disneyland Paris.
The Colosseum in Rome, Rockfeller Center in New York and London Bridge filled out the rest of the top 10.
No attractions in Korea were included on the list.
