Police detained two men Thursday for mocking Sewol ferry sinking victims from September 2014 using fish shaped snacks.

The two, identified as Kim, 20, and Cho, 30, posted a selfie on Jan. 26 wearing Danwon High School uniforms and eating the snacks on user-content website Ilbe Storehouse. They described the snacks as was the disaster’s victims, mostly 2nd year students from the school on their way to Jeju island for a school retreat. They explained the fish shaped snack was made with fishes that ate the drowned victims.

The post enraged the public and Danwon police in Gyeonggi Province launched an investigation to find them.

The police found that the suspects, who met each other online, bought the uniforms from an online second-hand store. Kim and Cho posted the photo to gain attention, police said.
