British make-up artist touts Korean beauty products

Korea has become a major player in the cosmetics industry in recent years, especially across Asia. The influence appears to be extending to Europe as well.

Lisa Eldridge is one of the most trusted make-up experts in the United Kingdom, working with the leading fashion magazines such as Vogue, ELLE, and Harper’s Bazaar. Her clients include celebrities Keira Knightley, Kate Moss and Cara Delevigne.

Eldridge recently posted a video on her YouTube channel that introduces the latest make-up trends and beauty products in Korea, from brands such as Missha, Innisfree and Etude House as well as high-end brands such as Hera and Laneige.

In the video, she uses the Korean word “gwang” to describe the “glowing” look that many Korean women seek these days.

Describing Korea as “the make-up artist’s or make-up obsessive’s dream or heaven,” she said she “had to buy a new suitcase - a huge one- to leave the country because I had that much make-up.”

The tutorial video posted a week ago already had some 287,000 views as of Monday. Due to numerous requests, she posted a second video on Korean make-up and skincare products as well.
