Singer Park Jung-hyun, 38, will not just emcee the program, but also compete with six other fellow stars including Yangpa, So Chan-whee, Hyorin from K-pop girl group SISTAR, Ha Dong-kyun, Lee Soo and vocal group Sweet Sorrow.
More veteran singers have been confirmed for the third season of the MBC reality show “I Am a Singer,” the broadcasting company said Wednesday.
One singer who will not participate is MC the Max front man Lee Soo.
MBC said Thursday that Lee was pulled from the lineup.
Media attention had focused on Lee because he stopped making public appearances following a prostitution scandal in 2009.
Lee admitted at the time that he was involved with an under aged girl who was part of a prostitution ring. No charges were filed against Lee, who said he didn’t know the girl was teenager.
Acoustic duo 10cm was reportedly supposed to join the program, but they had been replaced by Lee before the latter was pulled.
