Ticket agent allegedly sells 700 KBO tickets to scalpers

Police are investigating an employee of a ticketing agency for allegedly selling tickets to the Korean Baseball Organization (KBO) playoffs to scalpers for personal profit.
Police said the 43-year-old man, surnamed Jang, sold nearly 700 tickets to the opening-round series between the LG Twins and NC Dinos to illegal ticket brokers, also known as scalpers, Yonhap News Agency reported.
Police said Jang rigged his company’s computer system to show that the seats in question had been sold, for the Oct. 19 game at Masan Baseball Stadium in Changwon, South Gyeongsang Province.
The tickets were supposed to range from 15,000 won ($13.79) to 50,000 won.
The police told Yonhap that authorities are likely to summon Jang for questioning early this week.
