Nam Hyun-joon, a modern dancer known for his “poppin’” skills, is catching flak online for a derisive comment he made toward Asiana Airlines after he was seated in economy class.
Known as “Poppin’ Hyun-joon,” the 36-year-old dancer wrote in a Sept. 16 Facebook status update that the airline had offered him an economy seat on a trip to the United States. “I’m taking Korean Air next time,” Nam said.
Nam implied that his ride on the plane had been
“sponsored” by Asiana.
A local vernacular reported that Nam’s management, Happy Face Entertainment, had deleted the post soon after it was posted.
Netizens have expressed disappointment at Nam, describing him as a “sponsorship beggar” and “needy to the bone.”
