“Snowpiercer” star Ko A-sung, 23, has signed a deal with Hollywood talent agency Untitled Entertainment, Ko’s management company 4Doors Entertainment said Monday.
The statement from 4Doors cited a June 14 story in the New York Post which featured Ko on a list of up-and-coming actresses, as a major reason for the signing.
The piece in the Post came ahead of the release of Snowpiercer in selected cities across the United States. The film was a major hit in Korea, drawing some 13 million viewers.
“We will fully support Ko through this deal as we understand that it will possibly allow her to acclaim global popularity as an actress,” 4Doors representative Jang Doo-bong said.
Established in 2004 and based in Beverly Hills and New York City, Untitled Entertainment represents high-profile celebrities including Penelope Cruz, Demi Moore, Jeremy Renner, Hilary Swank, Uma Thurman, Naomi Watts as well as Major League Baseball player Alex Rodriguez and Columbian actress Sofia Vergara.
