Roof-jumping thief dies from fall

A thief who was jumping from roof to roof in a similar fashion to Spiderman, has died after a fall, Yonhap reports.

Daegu Nambu Police Station got a call Monday at 4:27 a.m. saying there was a person “hanging on the rails outside the window.” When the police arrived at the scene, the suspect was climbing up and down the gas pipes, leaping from roof to roof.

Despite warnings from police, the suspect fell down while jumping to a nearby rooftop. He died of a fractured skull.

“The suspect has four previous convictions for theft. We suspect that he was fleeing from the crime scene after his recent release from jail,” said the police.

The case is under investigation.
