World amused by Changwon egg incident
USA Today reports the egg throw to Changwon Mayor Ahn Sang-soo
An ugly incident at a Changwon, South Gyeongsang Province council meeting, in which Mayor Ahn Sang-soo was pelted with an egg has gone viral around the world.
USA Today was so taken with the incident that it posted four videos of it – a YouTube video and three looped videos shown at different speeds – on its website.
Sports news website Total Pro Sports (TPS) commented, “If that was the standard way to express anger in the American political arena, JFK might still be alive today..
ESPN and other foreign media have posted on the video as well.
Ahn on Tuesday was pelted with eggs thrown by city councilman Kim Seong-il as he changed a plan to build a new baseball stadium from Jinhae where Kim is based to Masan.
