Epic staring contest to be held in Seoul

If you’re a person who is prone to stare blankly into space, then an upcoming contest may be right up your alley.
The Space-Out Festival, to be held October 27 at Seoul City Hall, will determine which contestant can stare mindlessly ahead for the longest time.
"All you have to do is stare mindlessly in the location you are placed in," says one of the event organizers, a 38-year-old woman who goes by the name WoopsYang.
"You can't listen to music, read a book, fall asleep, or anything else that is not related to mindlessness."
Woopsyang is one-half of the performance artist of 2lectronicship. The duo is putting the event together not only as a contest, but a piece of performance art with a message.
"We're living in an endlessly-competing society these days, and we tend to think that the only thing that is valuable, is being extremely productive all the time," WoopsYang stated. "We need to get out of these standards and wanted to observe a society doing the exact opposite - doing nothing.
According to the project's official Facebook page, you can, however, pick your nose or scratch your leg.
The duo will put together a panel of judges and their own standards of selecting a winner, who will be awarded a trophy shaped like Rodin's sculpture, “The Thinker.” The project will be limited to 40 to 50 participants.
