Hallyu star admits beating girlfriend

Singer and actor Kim Hyun-joong has admitted to abusing his girlfriend on one occasion, police said this week.
Police in the Songpa district of Seoul said they questioned Kim on Tuesday in relation to charges that the abused his girlfriend four times between May and June.
According to reports, Kim reportedly admitted that on one occasion he struck his girlfriend during an argument. But he claimed he did not hit her in the other fights.
Police said they may summon Kim’s girlfriend for questioning. She reported Kim to authorities in August 20 and claimed that he should pay for six weeks of medical treatment that she underwent.
Kim debuted in 2005 as a member of a boy band SS501 and launched a solo career in 2010
He is currently on a world tour, which will soon take him to Peru, Mexico and Japan.
