Police release montages of ferry owner and son

By Ko Dong-hwan
The National Police Agency on Monday released the montages of the elusive Yoo Byung-eun and his son Yoo Dae-kyun. The father-and-son duo headed the murky company that operated the doomed Sewol ferry, which sank off Jindo last month, leaving more than 300 people dead.
Police have been struggling to find the two. And it is hard to imagine that the montages, which convey comically terrible photo-shop skills, will be much help. The faces of the Yoos wearing sunglasses, mustaches and skullcaps look as if they were stolen from the original Super Mario sketch.
Investigators tried but failed to nab the duo at Geumsusan, the compound of the Salvation Sect religious cult in Anseong, Gyeonggi Province. The elder Yoo has been a senior member of the cult, which is believed to be protecting his family.
Police are offering big rewards for the Yoos ― 5 million won (about $4,900) for the Byung-eun and 1 million won for Dae-kyun.
