North Koreans interested in skin care
A growing number of North Korean people have begun to take interests in skin care.
Chosun Sinbo, the mouthpiece of pro-North Korean organization “Chochongnyeon,” reported Wednesday a variety of cosmetic products like sunblock creams and books introducing organic food good for health have been introduced in the North.
“Such products and food are drawing increasing interests from North Korean women,” it said.
For instance, a makeup brand “Eunhasoo” (Milky Way) put 10 kinds of cosmetics mainly for caring skins from ultraviolet rays this year alone.
“The makeup products are verified so that the users can utilize in various circumstances at office, outdoor, mountains and beach,” it said.
It also said it has been the policy of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un to develop various kinds of makeup goods.
Experts said the emergence of Kim’s wife Ri Sol-ju has also been impact the recent trend toward cosmetics and health food in the reclusive nation. (Yonhap)
