Beckhams $1.6 Mil. Christmas

Former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham showed off her posh credentials on a recent shopping trip ― she came close to spending a whopping $1.6 million on designer goods, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.

The singer-turned-designer visited Milan, Italy, over the Christmas period and headed straight for the stores to splash out on gifts for herself and husband David.

Among the items bought were a $640,000 Rolex watch for the soccer ace and four sofas for their home worth $64,000.

Shopaholic Beckham says, "I did spend too much. Shopping is like a drug. The more you have the more you want. I would move in to the (shopping street) Via Montenapoleone if I could because when I am in Milan, I don't know how to walk past it.

"It's as if all of those wonderful shops are calling out to me, ― saying, 'Come and buy me! Come and buy me!'"

빅토리아 베컴 하루 쇼핑에 18억 탕진

세계적인 축구스타 데이비드 베컴의 부인 빅토리아 베컴이 최근 이탈리아에서의 쇼핑으로 무려 160만 달러 (약 18억 원) 를 탕진했다고 샌프란시스코 크로니클지가 보도했다.

가수에서 디자이너로 변신한 빅토리아는 크리스마스 기간 동안 이탈리아 밀라노로 건너가 자신과 남편을 위한 선물을 사기 위해 바로 쇼핑거리 '비아 몬테나폴레오네'를 찾았다.

그녀가 산 선물 중에는 남편을 위한 64만 달러 짜리 롤렉스 시계와 집에 둘 4개의 6만 4,000 달러 짜리 소파 등이 들어 있었다.

비아 몬테나폴레오네는 빅토리아가 가장 좋아하는 옷가게와 밀라노에서도 가장 비싼 물건들이 몰려 있는 거리로 알려져 있다.

빅토리아는 "내가 생각해도 너무 많이 샀다. 쇼핑은 마치 마약과 같다. 사고 싶으면 계속해서 원하게 된다"면서 "밀라노에 오면 반드시 비아 몬테나폴레오네 거리에 나오게 되는데, 그곳을 어떻게 지나쳐야 할 지 모르겠다''며 심각한 쇼핑중독임을 드러냈다.

그녀는 ``멋진 옷가게들이 나를 향해 '들어와서 나를 사달라'고 속삭인다"고 덧붙였다.
