HS e-governance

The Seoul Metropolitan Government ranked first in the 2007 survey of 100 municipal websites from around the world conducted jointly by the Rutgers University e-Governance Institute and the Sungkyunkwan University Global e-Policy, e-Government Institute. Since 2003, this is the third time the city has come out top in the biennial survey.

In the latest survey, Seoul ranked first in security and privacy, services and citizen participation categories. Hong Kong received the highest mark in the content category while Madrid scored first place in the usability category. The survey conducted from August 2007 to December 2007 ranked websites of 100 municipalities around the world in five categories.
