Filipino accused of stabbing roommate

Gwangju Gwangsan police have charged a man, 42, whose name has been withheld, for allegedly stabbing his roommate.

The man, a Filipino, allegedly stabbed his roommate, 33, also a Filipino, under his armpit at about 11 p.m. on Sunday.

The suspect, who was reportedly drunk, starting smashing furniture in their small apartment. His roommate tried to stop him, they argued, and the drunken man stabbed the other, according to police.

Police caught the suspect hiding in a nearby parking lot. They will seek an arrest warrant.
