Six missing after fishing boat capsizes off Pohang

Six sailors are missing after a fishing boat capsized off Pohang on Wednesday.

Three crew ― including the captain, surnamed Kim, 58 ― were rescued. A search is under way to find the missing sailors, according to the coast guard.

The 27-ton vessel “K” capsized about 35 kilometers east of Pohang, North Gyeongsang Province, at around 12:50 p.m. shortly after sending a distress call. The cause of the accident is unknown.
