Three men in their 20s face assault charges for allegedly using soju, chili pepper extract and eggs to assault four women, Busan Yeonje Police Station said Wednesday.
On Aug. 10, the three, one of whom was identified by the surname Jung, 26, allegedly squirted soju, a Korean alcoholic liquor, mixed with capsaicin and threw eggs at two women. The attack happened around 2 a.m. in Yangjeong-dong, Busanjin-gu, Busan.
Five minutes later, the suspects allegedly attacked two other women in Geoje-dong, in the same city district.
After analyzing security video from surrounding areas, police arrested the suspects on Tuesday.
The men said the “weather was too hot and there was nothing else to do, so we just played a practical joke.”
