Patrol boat blast kills one, injures three

One person died and three people were injured when a fisheries patrol speed boat blew up, police said Wednesday.
The accident happened at 3:50 p.m. Tuesday at a port in South Gyeongsang Province, when the officers were preparing to move to their base port after a regular patrol of coastal fish farms.
“The explosion happened the moment the boat’s engine was started,” an investigator said after questioning survivors.
An investigation is under way to determine the blast’s cause.
