Top university professor accused of sexual harassment

An engineering professor at Seoul National University (SNU) is under police investigation for alleged molestation of a graduate student.
Police booked the professor on Thursday who is suspected of having touched the female student’s body several times at a laboratory for months. Police are considering seeking a warrant to arrest him. The professor’s identity remains unknown.
“The professor canceled his classes after his case was made public,” a SNU spokesman said. “The school’s human rights committee has already looked into the case and is considering taking an independent disciplinary action against the professor.”
The spokesman said the professor will be sacked if he is found guilty by the court.
